Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead new product development and chemical testing procedures.
  • Maintain quality control and assurance for existing products while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and technological advancements, with a focus on EPA registration for hard surface disinfectants and sanitizers.
  • Conduct research, develop, test, and improve product formulas with professional judgment and technical expertise.
  • Draft and review laboratory reports, standard operating procedures, and safety documentation.
  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with environmental health standards.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in chemical tests and processes.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to interface effectively with sales staff and customers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a formulary chemist.
  • Knowledge of FDA and Good Manufacturing Practices is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a laboratory setting, including standing for extended periods.
  • Comfortable handling chemicals and compounds.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds.
